El GP de Francia ha sido una demostración de tenacidad por parte de Álex Márquez, quien no se ha resentido por el dolor de su fractura en el pie izquierdo para terminar en un brillante cuarto puesto en Le Mans.

El de Cervera ha perdido el podio a solo cinco vueltas del final después de una larga e intensa batalla con Thomas Lüthi. Franco Morbidelli lidera el campeonato de Moto2 con 100 puntos después de cinco carreras, mientras que Álex sube al tercer puesto con 62 puntos.

Álex Márquez: “Ha sido un fin de semana difícil con tantos cambios de tiempo, dos caídas en entrenamientos y después correr la carrera con dolor en mi pie. Pero pienso que he hecho un buen trabajo y el podio ha estado muy cerca, pero en las últimas vueltas simplemente no he podido aguantar.

Lo más importante es que he sumado unos puntos importantes para el campeonato en un circuito donde habitualmente sufro un poco. Estoy motivado para mantener esta mentalidad y sumar importantes puntos en cada carrera”.

The French GP was a tribute to the tenacity of Álex Márquez, who ignored the pain and discomfort of fracture in his left foot to finish a brave fourth in Le Mans.

Cervera rider only conceded the final podium position with five laps reaming after a long and tense battle with Thomas Lüthi. Franco Morbidelli leads the championship on 100 points after five rounds, with Álex moving into third place with 62 points.

Álex Márquez: “It has been a difficult weekend with the changeable weather and two crashes in practice and then with the pain in my foot for the race. But I think I did a good job and the podium was close, but I just couldn’t make it today over the final laps.

The main thing is that I scored important points for the championship at a circuit where I normally struggle a little. I’m motivated to keep this mentality of scoring good points in every race”.
